The Larkin & Lacey Fund serves as a great help to disadvantaged individuals. This fund was made possible by two well known Journalists who had their civil rights violated. Not only did the two Journalists have their civil rights violated but the two men even spent time behind bars.
Once the two men Larkin & Lacey were released from jail they decided to made the decision to fight back. Helping others affected by racism, sexual discrimination and other civil rights violations was Larkin & Lacey’s way of fighting back. The two men won a substantial court judgment. They were able to prove their case of civil rights violations as well as discrimination with the help of an skilled attorney.
Larkin & Lacey started the “Frontera Fund”. The Frontera Fund was developed to benefit primarily the Hispanic Community. Therefore, members of the Hispanic Community that experienced prejudice and experienced civil rights violations could make use of the Frontera Fund to pay for legal expenses involved in trying to prove their case. Larkin & Lacey started the Frontera Fund with the proceeds from the lawsuit in which they won.

The American Civil Liberties Union was very vocal about the case the Larkin & Lacey won. Therefore, the Frontera Fund plus organizations such as the American Civil Liberties Union can certainly help minorities who has their rights were violated.
The NAACP is another organization that fights for civil rights. The NAACP was one of the first organizations to fight against segregation within the school system. The NAACP was able to bring about change through their hard work and efforts.
