The U.S. Reserve began its internship program in February 2016 by hiring its first-ever marketing intern.
A couple of years after, the team celebrates the growth and success of the internship program by hiring a new set of summer interns. The candidates must be interested in working in an environment that builds relational communication skills.
How It All Started
Vice President of Marketing and Communication of the USMR Jim Warren hired Mallory Burgess to commence the internship program after the latter interned with Warren at his former firm. This is how the internship program at USMR started.
Mallory Burgess, currently working as Media Buyer shared that her experience working with Warren and the rest of the USMR team is very valuable.

During her internship, Burgess performed very well as a Marketing Coordinator. She managed and coordinated the internship program of the U.S. Money Reserve. She got promoted several times and is now USMR’s media buyer.
Her mentor Jim Warren shared that Burgess is a talented, organized, and driven. He added that he is delighted seeing Burgess grow and succeed in marketing and media.
Warren said that Burgess’ story showed that with hard work and dedication, an internship can open opportunities for employment at the U.S. Money Reserve.
From just one intern, US Money Reserve is going to host six interns in their Austin, Texas office. The interns will handle social media and radio, TV, and film. This year, USMR will also have its first ever Intern Supervisor, Sierra Taylor.
In the summer of 2018, Taylor worked with USMR and has recently come back to help in running the internship and help the team’s social media outfits. Currently, Taylor is studying at the University of Texas at Austin taking up Bachelor of Science in Advertising.
